"Unique" Newborn Portraits

Setting out a nice variety of images is most important for a client. Giving them choices in colour, tonality, poses, outfits, its something they all look forward to.

The one word I hear the most of is ‘unique’. Everyone wants that one unique image that no one else has. And as photographers, we try, we dig deep in our creative minds to spur up ideas as we get through the shoot, to create an image that’s not just out of our minds, but also well suited to the client & their persona. Do you agree?

The set of images below was done for an old client, a well-known darling set of parents. Having captured memories for their first child, it was such a delight to see them with their second cutie in tow. And again, having shot for a lot of her family members, this pushed my boundaries to create little prop set ups that weren’t done earlier and were different in colour, look and feel. Moments, of course, are never the same for every family. I let these moments evolve between the couple organically and go with their flow, for the most part! :)
