Happy Father's Day!

Did you know that Father’s Day was started by a woman in the United States?

Sonora Smart Dodd, was brought up by her dad after her mother’s demise. She felt weird that there wasn’t a specific day to express her love and gratitude for her dad. And the rest is history. What started as an initiative to celebrate her dad on his birthday, later became recognized by politicians and everyone around the world. Now thanks to that every year we have a beautiful day to express our love, admiration and gratitude to our father.  Okay this doesn’t mean that we celebrate our father only on this day, rather it’s more like a reminder so that we won’t take our father for granted and be eternally grateful to them. And this reminder is ever so important in this hectic world, where we are always busy with something or the other. Take a moment to pause, go to your father and just thank him for everything he has done. From carrying you, holding your hand when you tried to walk for the first time, to always giving you the perfect view by carrying you on his shoulder. Our father’s have always outdone themselves when it came to providing for us.
